If bins need to be removed from certain sections of the grid, for example, if work needs to be done on a portion of the grid, follow the steps below.
Emptying Street Cells
Changing Cells to Street Cells
- In the Service Console, navigate to the Grid tab.
- Select the cells that need to be emptied of bins by clicking and dragging your mouse over the cells. Selected cells will be highlighted in blue.
- On the right next to "Cell Mode", select "Street" from the dropdown.
- Click the "Save to Area" button to save the highlighted cells as street cells.
Sending Robots to Empty the Street Cells
- Navigate to the Robot tab.
- Mark the robots you'd like to be used to remove the bins from the cells (using all of the robots will empty the cells fastest.
- Mark robots by typing in a range of robots in the text box titled "Marked Robots" at the bottom of the screen in the Robot tab.
- Marked robots will be highlighted yellow/orange in the robot list
- Mark robots by typing in a range of robots in the text box titled "Marked Robots" at the bottom of the screen in the Robot tab.
- On the right side of the screen, expand the "Empty Street" node.
- In the "Minimum Depth After Put Bin" text box, type "0"
- Click the "Attach Marked Robots" button, then press the "Start" button. The robots will switch to Console mode and begin emptying the street cells.
Returning the Street Cells to Storage Cells
- Navigate to the Grid tab
- Select the cells that were changed to street cells
- On the right next to "Cell Mode", select "Storage" from the dropdown
- Click the "Save to Area" button to save the highlighted cells as storage cells
- All the robots in Planner mode will begin refilling the empty cells in order to optimize performance and return the bin stacks to regular levels.
