Recovering an Erroring Robot in a System without a Service Area

Since your system does not have a service area, you'll need to essentially trick the system and tell the robot where it is. You can do this by following the steps below:

  1. Visually confirm and take note of where the robot is physically on the grid.
    1. If the robot is between cells, you'll need to go out on the grid and physically move it to a definite location. Make sure all of its wheels are in the down position.
  2. In the Console, put the robot in "Service" mode. This will make it disappear from the map.
  3. In the Console, put the robot in "Parked" mode and type in the X, Y location. This will make the robot turn gray on the map. Double check on the map that the physical and logical positions match.
  4. In the Console, put the robot in "Console" mode. This will make the robot turn blue on the map.
  5. Press the play button to start the system.
  6. Run an offset calibration on the robot.
