Due to a variety of factors such as hardware failure, fallen obstacles, or operator error, Robots may end up out-of-position and collide with other Robots or the sides of the grid.
If a Collision Occurs:
1) Robot(s) that has collided should be removed from the grid and placed into Service mode by trained personnel.
2) The area of the collision should be closely inspected. If grid track is damaged, the area should be temporarily blocked in Console by a trained user. Any obstacles or debris should be removed to prevent further collisions.
3) The Robots still on the grid should have their physical locations verified against the locations shown in Console to verify that all remaining Robots are in their correct location. If any Robots are found to be in the wrong location in comparison to Console, they should be removed then re-inserted into the system at a correct location.
4) System may be re-started, but Robots that have crashed should be left out of operation until support from Kardex can be given in troubleshooting the root cause of the crash.
5) Create a ticket to notify Kardex of the crash, including details such as exact times, dates, Robots involved, and location on the grid. Kardex will contact customer with next steps during business hours to further troubleshoot the root cause before Robot is returned to operation.
