Estimated Completion Time: 10 minutes
The conveyor port belt calibration process centers the bin within the port cell to allow for smooth pickup and drop-off of bins. This procedure is recommended when the ports are experiencing "unexpected bin sensor state" errors.
*Access to the Service Console is required for this procedure. Please contact Kardex to obtain access if you do not have access to the Service Console.
- In the Service Console, open the Viewer and click on a storage cell near the port you are using. In the popup, you will see a list of bins that are stored in the selected cell. The bin at the top of the list is at the topmost level of the stack. Record this bin number. Choosing a bin close to the port and at the top of the stack will reduce wait time and prevent the robot from having to dig for a bin.
- In the Port tab on the Console, select the port you are going to calibrate. Change the port mode to "Open Pick" using the dropdown in the top right. Press the "play" button to activate the changes.
- In the text box, type the bin number you recorded in step 1a and press "Open Bin"
- Once the bin arrives at the port, click the "Remove Bin" button.
- Remove the port furniture and the bin that was called to the port. (Port with furniture removed pictured below)
- In the Port tab on the Console, change the port mode to "Closed" and press the "play" button to activate the changes.
- In the Port tab on the Console, under "Conveyor Commands", click "Weight Down" and click the play button.
- Align the bin between the front and rear sensors inside the port. You should not be able to see the red laser lights on the bin.
- To ensure the bin is between both sensors, click on the "Technical Information" tab on the selected port and click the "Request" button. Both sensor statuses should read as "Open".
